ap.govt . to host Rayalaseema Dishes in Tirupati soon
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch the Mega Rayalaseema Dishes and Cultural Festival in Tirupati shortly, tentatively in the third week of January or early March.
The Urban Haat on the outskirts of the temple town is likely to be the venue for the programme.
With the State government sanctioning Rs 1 crore for making arrangements for the event, Collector Siddharth Jain has instructed the tourism officials to ready an action plan for the smooth conduct of the programme. Choicest traditional cuisines –both vegetarian and non-vegetarian– exclusive to Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur, Chittoor; and Nellore district will be on a lavish display during the three-day festival. Apart from this, cultural activities such as kolatam, chekka bhajana, harikatha and burrakatha will be organised.
Dance forms and skits depicting the glory of Telugu rulers such as Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya will also be staged,
