In a rare feat, the Chittoor district administration has planned to dig 10,000 farm ponds across Chittoor district on Thursday. Collector Siddharth Jain announced an ambitious target of forming 1 lakh farm ponds by the end of March this year. “This step, taken up as part of water conservation, will be a boon to the farmers,” he said.
