Over 100 killed in fire at Puttingal temple in Kollam, 350 injured

Over 100 killed in fire at Puttingal temple in Kollam,Paravoor in Kerala's Kollam district on Sunday morning.

According to Kollam Assistant Commissioner of Police K Lalji over 200 others have been injured in the tragedy that took place at Puttingal temple in Paravoor.
Officials involved in the relief and rescue operations claimed that the fire broke out during celebrations involving firecrackers at around 3 AM.
Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said, "The fire broke out at 3:30 AM during celebration through fire crackers. I have asked the DGP to go to the spot and take stock of the situation. We will give finance assistance to victim. I am myself going to the spot."
